The Creators
Trike Mid Step was born in a Wisconsin workshop, built by riders who understood a simple problem: getting on and off a trike shouldn't be a struggle. Tom & Lisa Honkanen set out to fix that — and they haven't stopped since.

We built our first trike in 2010. Almost immediately we were told that the passenger scratched the fender while getting on the bike. It only seemed natural that we fix the problem with chrome tape to protect the fender. A couple years later, we witnessed a customer take a hold of his pant leg to help hike his leg over the seat. Together Tom, Lisa & Tommy developed the real solution — The Trike Mid-Step. We are confident that when you see the quality of this step, you will want it to add it to your trike.
Built by riders, for riders
We're a small operation out of Maribel, Wisconsin — and we think that's a strength. Every product ships from our own workshop. Every customer talks to someone who actually knows the product. We're not a warehouse. We're riders who got tired of waiting for someone else to solve the problem.
